My favorite book is The Lord Of The Rings trilogy by J.R.R. Tolkien. Although Tolkien originally desired to publish this as one written work, eventually it was decided that it would be broken up into three separate books. In this epic journey, Tolkien achieved what every writer strives for: to create a space where the reader can escape and truly feel at home. I’ve always felt this way in reading LOTR and other tales of Middle Earth. Lord Of The Rings particularly resonates with me because it is not just simply a tale of adventure, but instead it incorporates love, sacrifice, friendship, compassion, and courage. It continues to be one of the best selling novels ever written and its message still rings true, spanning many generations.
