When Warner Robins bid farewell to a beloved independently owned coffee shop, best friends Victoria and Jaimie stepped up to create a place where people could connect, study, read, and feel at home.
In February, 2016, when a beloved independent non-franchise coffee shop closed its doors, and a frozen yogurt spot directly across the street became available, two best friends saw an opportunity. With secondhand equipment, a whole lot of heart, and a village behind them, they rolled up their sleeves and got to work. On August 1st, 2016, Between Friends Coffee officially opened its doors to their Warner Robins community. From the start, it was more than just a café. It was a space built by locals, for locals. A place where conversations flow as readily as the coffee, and where everyone, from longtime residents to newcomers from around the world, feels right at home. As their community grew, so did their menu, shaped by the diverse tastes and stories of the people Between Friends Coffee is lucky to serve.
Victoria and Jaimie began with a shared dream to build a cozy, literary-themed coffeehouse, café, bakery, and bookstore. Over time, that dream has grown into something even more special and impactful. Over the years, the love and support from their neighbors has earned them “Best of the Best” honors time and again, and they don’t take that lightly, but what matters most is the opportunities they have had to give back. They offer a free lending library, host a community pantry with the MOMs Club of Warner Robins, and support school programs, disaster relief, and fundraising drives. They’ve also partnered with the City and State to help boost literacy in schools, prisons, and neighborhoods. It’s a coffee shop with a mission—and a deep commitment to the people it serves.
When Between Friends Coffee first opened, there weren’t many places in town to grab a good cup of coffee. These days, Middle Georgia is full of options, from big-name chains to locally owned cafes. It’s been amazing to watch the coffee scene grow, and it’s rapid growth is a reminder of how important it is to continue to support the independent shops that pour their hearts into both the local culture and you, the community. Between Friends is proud to be one of those spots and are deeply thankful for everyone who’s made Between Friends Coffee part of their day.
