Route 91

When V and I get here early in the mornings to bake, sweep the floors, and get things ready to serve our Friends, we turn up the radio and catch up on the news and jam out to our favorite music. We are eclectic souls and will honestly listen to just about anything, but country music runs deep in our lives. Especially mine. It is my go to, as it speaks to my mind and heart.

Concerts are a sanctuary for people to get to relax, unload, detox from the stress in their day to day lives. A place to just be. Today that sanctuary was shattered for many. If you have not heard, a predominantly country music festival in Las Vegas has become the site of a mass shooting. The death toll is increasing as daylight makes its way in. The number of injured is also growing.

Today, like all days, please remember that we belong to each other. Remember, please, that we belong to each other. We have no peace because we have forgotten that. Go out of your way to do the nice things, the kind things, the loving things. Forgive each other. Love each other. Reach out to each other. Look for the helpers. Be the helper. Forget all that should divide and remember that we belong to each other.

We belong to each other.
